When His Majesty took the throne to become the King of Thailand, on May 5th 1950, he said:
"Reign with righteousness for the benefit and happiness of the Siamese people"
His Majesty took the vow that he will lead the Kingdom of Thailand following 10 virtues, which there are:
1) Sharing with the populace
2) Maintaining good conduct
3) Working selflessly
4) Working honestly
5) Deporting himself with gentleness
6) Rejecting indulgence through austerity
7) Adhering to reason, not anger
8) Bringing tranquility through non violence
9) Overcoming difficulties with patience
10) Not doing that which strays from righteousness
After now more than 50 years, being the sovereign of this country, the world can truly see that His Majesty always stood true to his word. And we tell the true story about it!
We invite eyewitnesses, people who lived under His Majesty and have had the wonderful chance to experience the grace and selflessness of His Majesty in their very own lives, to share their experience with all of us by telling us their personal story. May it be as a participant of one of the many developmental projects, His Majesty initiated over the last decades, or be it just to have met His Majesty in person and had the chance to share his wisdom and love for the people of Thailand. We now met so many people, that at times under greatest emotions shared stories with us, no one can think of. Stories that show, that His Majesty always followed his own plans with action and dedication, and never cared about anything else, then the people themselves. Old, young, any religion and race ? for His Majesty differences do not exist. His Majesty listens to everyone and tries to understand and solve the many problems of his people. And our stories tell it all. Stories that make your heart melt and will make you understand, why His Majesty is so much loved and cherished by Thai and others all around the world. All narrated by contemporary witnesses, right from their heart and soul right here for you to see.
These eyewitness accounts we collect here tell more than any book or any laudation ever can. They are the true story of a man that has been outstanding for his country, the region and the whole world and who can truly be seen as one amongst very few that put good words into even better action.
